Cook Inlet Basin Study Unit – Streams and Rivers

nawqa_strm is a line coverage of the streams and rivers in the Cook Inlet Basin National Water-Quality Asessment (NAWQA) study unit. The purpose of this coverage is (1) to present a general overview of the number of streams and rivers located in the Cook Inlet watershed and (2) to serve as a guide for selecting water-quality sampling sites. The coverage was created by USGS and Alaska Department of Natural Resources (ADNR) personnel using USGS 1:2,000,000 digital line graphs (DLG). Procedures followed were those outlined by Domaratz and others (1982).
