Cook Inlet Basin Study Unit – Wetlands

nawqa_wet is a polygon coverage of the wetlands in the Cook Inlet Basin National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) study unit. The coverage was created from a statewide coverage of wetlands which was used in the National Water Summary on Wetland Resources - USGS Water-Supply Paper 2425. The drainage basin boundaries of the Cook Inlet Basin, developed from 1:250,000 quadrangle maps, were used as boundaries of the coverage.

The wetlands coverage of the Cook Inlet Basin is one of several coverages used to develop basin characteristics. This coverage, along with others of the Cook Inlet Basin, will be used to help determine water-quality sampling sites.
