Data to Decisions: Tsunami Science to Inform Decision-Making in Alaska Communities

The Alaska Tsunami Modeling Group works with different state and federal agencies to reduce risk to coastal communities. The goal is to support coastal communities to develop safe evacuation routes. To accomplish this the team employs already existing applications and tools to develop new visualizations for the DTN in the following modes: 1. Development of credible tsunami scenarios 2. Community resilience through planning and preparedness 3. Education and outreach
