Southeast Alaska Inventory and Monitoring Network – National Park Service

The Southeast Alaska Network (SEAN) implements long-term ecological monitoring and provides scientifically sound natural resource information to park managers. The parks in our network share the temperate rainforest of Alaska's maritime coast, but each display their own unique character: from the dynamic tidewater glaciers and rugged outer coast of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, to the steep and diverse landscape of Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, to the protected intertidal shoreline and salmon-rich waters of Sitka National Historical Park. SEAN works closely with each park to prioritize and develop long-term programs that track the condition of their natural resources.
