Cook Inlet Basin Study Unit – Physiography

nawqa_phys is a polygon coverage of the physiographic divisions within the Cook Inlet Basin, National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) study unit. The coverage was created from a statewide coverage of physiographic divisions based on USGS Professional Paper 482. The drainage basin boundaries of the Cook Inlet Basin, developed from 1:250,000 quadrangle maps, were used as the boundaries of the coverage. This coverage, along with several other coverages of the Cook Inlet Basin, will be used to help determine water-quality sampling locations.
